Zaatar Brussel Sprouts

Updated: Sep 13, 2023

Another Thanksgiving recipe, but make it Arab style. Having brussel sprouts on Thanksgiving is super traditional so I wanted to incorporate them into our dinner this year but with a twist! Adding zaatar to vegetables, especially cruciferous ones add so much flavor! I highly recommend it for the next time you want to bake brussel sprouts, kale, cauliflower, etc. Let’s get to it!

Yields: 2-4 people

Prep time: 20 minutes

Total time: 35 minutes

This recipe is dairy free, gluten free, vegetarian, and vegan.

Ingredients:

1. Bag of brussel sprouts

2. Zaatar

3. Extra virgin olive oil

4. Salt, black pepper, garlic powder

Instructions:

1. First, preheat your oven to 400.

2. Next, grab your washed brussel sprouts and chop the ends off and chop them in half.

3. Add them into a bowl and drizzle on 1-2 TBSPs of olive oil.

4. Season with salt, black pepper, garlic powder. Season next with zaatar, about 1-2 TSPs. It’s your call with how much you want to season.

5. Mix them well and let them marinate for like 10-15 minutes. Then, add them onto a baking pan, and bake until crispy. Enjoy!

Xoxo,
